Citizens of Lebanon can now travel visa-free to Egypt. Other Arab countries including Morocco and Tunisia will also soon get the facility to travel without an Egyptian visa soon. Citizens of Lebanon get to travel on charter planes that fly between Beirut, its capital, and Alexandria. George Boulous, head, Tishoury Tours, said that not requiring a visa to enter Alexandria makes it the second most popular destination in Egypt for the Lebanese after Sharm el-Sheikh. Tishoury Tours are the largest charter flight operator in Egypt. There are currently 300 incoming charter flights to Alexandria, Sharm el-Sheikh, and Hurghada, but will be increased to 1,500 by the end of 2018. Ehab El-Gendy, managing director, Marseilia Tours, also announced that his company had entered an agreement with various tour operators in different countries that have tours for the North Coast, Marsa Matrouh, Alexandria, and Arab countries. Egypt attracts these countries for religious and leisure purposes, but there’s one more tourism sector that is growing exponentially in the African nation. And that tourism sector is medical tourism. The Egyptian government is currently promoting medical tourism in Italy and Cyprus as they noticed many people from these two countries come to Egypt for it. Two popular medical tourism destinations in Egypt are Siwa and Egyptian-Ismailia desert road.
