In Manitoba's provincial draw on February 15, 444 international students and skilled workers who are interested in coming to the province were given invitations to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence. Manitoba had its third draw in 2019 last week Friday with candidates in the International Education, Skilled Worker in Manitoba as well as Skilled Worker Overseas economic immigration streams receiving 444 invitations. The latest draw has brought the number of invitations to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence issued by Manitoba in 2019 to 1,526. 34 invitations were given to candidates in the International Education Stream. This stream began last year as a means of providing a faster way of getting permanent residence for international students who graduated from a post-secondary institution in Manitoba and have skills needed by employers in the province. 120 invitations were issued to Skilled Worker in Manitoba which is for eligible temporary foreign workers as well as international graduates currently working in the province and have an offer of permanent employment with their Manitoba employers. The remaining 268 invitations were issued to the Skilled Worker Overseas Stream.
